Thai Airways International (THAI) recently celebrated the 20th Anniversary of Star Alliance by offering passengers commemorative souvenirs and by hosting a fun series of activities in its passenger lounges at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Mr. Griangsak Sakruangngam, THAI Managing Director – Ground Equipment Service Department, met with passengers on Sunday, 14 May, at THAI airport lounge alongside members of THAI aircrew wearing their traditional silk uniforms, a long-term symbol of the airline.
THAI was one of the original five members of the international airline alliance which started in 1997. Now with 28 members, Star Alliance offers passengers a comprehensive network that serves over 18,400 daily flights to 1,300 destinations in 191 countries.
At co-location airports, Star Alliance members share common ticketing and check-counters as well as lounges, baggage facilities and other services. In addition, connection centres track passengers and their baggage to ensure seamless connection between airlines.
Meanwhile, Star Alliance is celebrating its 20th Anniversary by giving passengers the chance to win a million air miles by sharing their favourite cultural experiences via the Star Alliance website.
